Job summary

Allied Universal offers a part-time Security Officer Access Control Patrol position in Chantilly, VA. You will provide client service, monitor entry points, and perform patrols to deter incidents while documenting activities and supporting badge access.

The schedule is part-time with a 15.12 USD hourly rate, including night shifts. Qualifications include high school diploma and background/drug screening as required by law, with licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and maintain accurate entry, exit, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with traffic flow and vehicle access at delivery and distribution operations while providing professional communication and customer service.
