Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Chantilly, VA to monitor facilities, deter incidents, assist with access control and provide courteous customer service. You will document observations using company systems and communicate with staff and visitors throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ years old (21+ for armed roles; not applicable here).
• Ability to use a computer or tablet preferred.
• License requirements subject to state/local laws; valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entry points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Computer Documentation in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
