Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Santa Ana, CA. This role offers reliable fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $23.25 per hour. The position includes a six-month anchor shift commitment, potential to scale to up to 40 hours/week, and a pathway toward a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; all qualified applicants considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public areas, offices, collection storage areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify authorized access and assist with visitor direction and wayfinding.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
