Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Access Control) in Lima, OH. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

This role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform and competitive pay of $16.00 per hour. You will join a dynamic, customer-focused team that values integrity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and issue visitor passes.
• Respond to access concerns and incidents, escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, and facility perimeter.
• Communicate access requirements professionally with staff and visitors.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requirements and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
