Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Ironton, Ohio. You will perform unarmed patrols, manage access control, and deliver excellent customer service at an industrial site, using technology to document observations and assist employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, policy violations, and maintenance or facility concerns observed during assigned shifts.

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
