Job summary

Allied Universal is recruiting a Security Officer Patrol Badge Verification in Lewiston Woodville, NC. As a Part-Time Unarmed Officer at a food production and distribution site, you’ll patrol, deter incidents, and support visitor screening with a strong emphasis on service.

You’ll handle access control and incident reporting while maintaining a visible, friendly presence to ensure safety and compliance. Previous badge or X-ray screening experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A minimum age of 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.

You will support access control and visitor screening activities while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food production and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, loading and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and visitor documentation.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, or unusual conditions that may affect facility operations to designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
