Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is seeking a Part Time Security Officer focused on Access Control. You will monitor entrances, assist employees and visitors, and help maintain a safe, orderly site.

This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within a leading security services provider. Prior badge and access-control experience plus strong customer service are preferred.

• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in manufacturing and industrial facilities and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, coordinating with emergency services when needed.
• Prepare reports and logs using Allied Universal processes.

Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response. Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Complete clear and accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation using Allied Universal and site-required processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
