Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites a Part-Time Security Officer to protect patients, staff and campus at Texas Health Cleburne. You will patrol, open/lock doors, escort individuals, deter unauthorized access and coordinate with local responders.

The role requires a HS diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and state-specific security credentials. Training in crisis prevention and de-escalation is provided. Email [e-mail] for details.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred.
• Two years healthcare or education experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License Class C and insurability required.
• Security officer certifications and crisis prevention training within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked/secured areas after hours.
• Lock and open doors according to schedules.
• Provide escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from the property.
• Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
• Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity when necessary.
• Complete incident/offense reports and narratives.
• Give directions to areas of the facility and assist staff.
• Coordinate with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required


• Associate’s Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred


• 2 years healthcare or education preferred


• Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required and


• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred


• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and


• TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and


• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire and


• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or


• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required and


• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required


• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

What You Will Do

• Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.


• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.


• Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.


• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.


• Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations.


• Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.


• Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.


• Gives directions to areas of facility.


• Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.


• Patrols interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
