Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Security Officer to patrol campus facilities and ensure safety after hours. The role requires handling access control, escorting visitors, and enforcing parking policies with a focus on preventing incidents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare/education experience preferred, and a valid Texas driver's license. Certifications like TASER and CPI/ACPI training are expected within specified timelines.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Assoc. degree preferred in business, criminal justice, law enforcement or related field.
  • 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License Class C and insurable.
  • CSO Texas Private Security Level 2/3 preferred/within 60 days.
  • TASER certification and CPI/ACPI training requirements within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Patrols buildings and grounds to secure after-hours entry.
  • Lock/open doors per schedules and escort individuals as needed.
  • Identify and remove unauthorized persons from campus.
  • Enforce campus parking policies and document incidents.
  • Detain individuals involved in criminal activity and report findings.

Here’s What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
  • 2 years healthcare or education preferred
  • Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required and
  • CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred
  • CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and
  • TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire and
  • ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required and
  • ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required
  • Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
What You Will Do
  • Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.
  • Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
  • Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
  • Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
  • Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations.
  • Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
  • Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
  • Gives directions to areas of facility.
  • Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Patrols interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
