Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is hiring a Security Officer to patrol and secure the campus, control access, and escort individuals as needed. You will collaborate with law enforcement and hospital staff to maintain a safe environment.

The role requires relevant certifications, state security credentials, and driving eligibility. Opportunities for growth exist within a supportive team and hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Security or related field preferred.
  • 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred.
  • Driver’s License Class C with insurability required.
  • CSO – Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred; Level 3 within 60 days of hire.
  • TASER Certification within 60 days of hire and annual recertification.
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training on hire and
  • ACPI – Advanced CPI within 6–12 months of hire.
  • Psychological evaluation required.

Responsibilities

  • Patrols buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
  • Open/lock doors according to schedules.
  • Escort individuals to and from parking areas.
  • Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
  • Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
  • Pursue and detain individuals involved in criminal activity.
  • Complete incident/offense reports and narratives.
  • Give directions to facility areas.
  • Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors and staff.
  • Patrol interior and perimeter of campus and parking areas.

Here’s What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
  • 2 years healthcare or education preferred
  • Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required and
  • CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred
  • CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and
  • TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire and
  • ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required and
  • ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required
  • Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
What You Will Do
  • Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.
  • Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
  • Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
  • Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
  • Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations.
  • Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
  • Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
  • Gives directions to areas of facility.
  • Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Patrols interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
