Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Rock Hill, SC to serve residents and visitors with professional, friendly security oversight. You will screen entrants, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents while protecting privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and procedures.
• Screen individuals entering the shelter location according to access-control procedures; verify authorization and direct visitors.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and prohibited-item concerns; report unusual activity to site contacts or emergency services.
• Respond to incidents calmly and maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and perimeter; document observations and complete incident reports.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 01:00 AM - 08:30 AM
• Thur 01:00 AM - 08:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the shelter location in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify authorization and direct visitors to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and prohibited-item concerns, reporting unusual activity or policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, trauma-informed, problem-solving manner while maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, documenting observations and completing required activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
