• Screen visitors, deliveries and personal belongings; monitor access points and help control entry to the location.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation and other records while handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns calmly and professionally; notify appropriate contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity, hazards or policy concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screener in Rock Hill, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 01:00 AM - 08:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Screen visitors, deliveries, and personal belongings in accordance with site procedures; monitor access points and help control entry to the shelter location.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required records while handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
