Allied Universal in Bennettsville, SC is seeking a Security Officer Armed Part Time Screener to protect clients across food and beverage production sites. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to earn by taking shifts through our Claim a Shift platform.

As an armed patrol officer you will conduct routine patrols, control access, screen visitors, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Must be 21+, HS diploma, background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while following site security procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, production areas, and parking areas to deter incidents and report conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with responders as needed.
• Maintain assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with laws and policy.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain assigned equipment, including authorized firearm and related gear, in accordance with applicable laws, company policy, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
