Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Overnight Access Control in West Des Moines, IA. You will monitor and patrol designated areas, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service at a financial institution.

The role is full-time with a night schedule and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, including opportunities to work with smart tools and gain growth within the company. Requires at least two years of security experience and a high school diploma, with background checks

As a Security Officer Overnight Access Control in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, customer areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
