Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol in West Des Moines, IA to safeguard clients at a financial institution location. You will monitor and patrol interior areas, exterior grounds, and access points, providing professional customer service and quick response to incidents.

The role requires a valid concealed carry permit and 21+ age for armed work, with a 40-hour weekly schedule and DayTime shifts.

Qualifications

• Have a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report security-related observations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports and documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report security-related observations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports and documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
