Job summary

Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests, employees, and property while upholding company standards and legal requirements.

You will monitor cameras, patrol the property, enforce policies, and respond to emergencies, coordinating with appropriate personnel. The role requires calmness under pressure, strong communication, and the ability to stand/walk for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Able to pass the company security written test.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Familiarity with security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest and staff interactions.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. infrequently.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Description

Summary:

The Security Officer will provide outstanding guest service by protecting hotel guests, employees, and property while maintaining a safe and secure environment based on Company Standards. They are responsible for enforcing Rosen policies and regulations and ensuring the observation of applicable laws by surveying the property for potential dangers and distractions to guests' enjoyment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the property.
• Enforce hotel policies and respond promptly to security issues and violations.
• Respond to guest and employee emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Assist with the implementation and execution of safety drills and training sessions for hotel staff.
• Accurately report incidents and maintain detailed security logs for record-keeping and review.
• Must have the ability to drive a company-assigned golf cart or other company-assigned vehicle.
• Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
• All other duties.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a Florida State driver's license in current good standing.
