Job summary

Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando is seeking a Security Officer for on-call coverage to protect guests, staff and property while upholding company standards and applicable laws.

You will monitor cameras, patrol the property, enforce policies, respond to emergencies, assist with safety drills, and maintain detailed incident logs. A Florida driver's license, 21+ age, and ability to drive a golf cart are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a Florida driver’s license in current good standing.
• Experience in security or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the property.
• Enforce hotel policies and respond promptly to security issues and violations.
• Respond to guest and employee emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Assist with the implementation and execution of safety drills and training sessions for hotel staff.
• Accurately report incidents and maintain detailed security logs for record-keeping and review.
• Must have the ability to drive a company-assigned golf cart or other company-assigned vehicle.
• Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Summary:

The Security Officer will provide outstanding guest service by protecting hotel guests, employees, and property while maintaining a safe and secure environment based on Company Standards. They are responsible for enforcing Rosen policies and regulations and ensuring the observation of applicable laws by surveying the property for potential dangers and distractions to guests' enjoyment.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must be able to pass the company security written test.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
• Ability to stand walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a Florida State driver's license in current good standing.
