Allied Universal in Newport Beach, CA, is looking for a Security Officer to support a commercial office property with unarmed patrols, access control, and excellent customer service.

This full-time overnight role pays $22.50 per hour and requires the ability to follow site procedures, log incidents, and work as part of a collaborative team.

Qualified applicants will have at least 6 months of security experience and a high school diploma, with licensing and certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in security work for at least 6 months.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Security-related license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by location.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and access-related issues calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports and relay information to site management.

As a Security Officer Full Time Office Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a commercial real estate location. In this highly visible role, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office property.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
