Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will welcome residents and visitors, verify access credentials, monitor entry points and alarm systems, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor authorization, issue and collect access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to identify and report access-control concerns or unusual activity.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by enforcing property access policies, directing visitors appropriately, and reporting maintenance, lighting, or access-control equipment concerns to site management.

Minimum Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
