Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Concierge Building Entrance Access Control in Newport Beach, CA. You will serve and safeguard clients, monitor access points, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

Requirements include at least 6 months of security experience, high school diploma, and the ability to work the full-time swing shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• State/county/city security license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen as applicable.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to identify and report issues.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and parking areas; provide directions and assistance with a professional presence.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed following reporting procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and parking areas; provide directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence at the commercial office location.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed, following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
