Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for the Morning Residential Patrol position in San Diego, CA. You will welcome residents and guests, manage access, monitor CCTV and alarms, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds and be 18+ (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check required and drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors at the front desk of a residential community.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying authorization, issuing credentials, and logging visitors.
• Answer calls, provide directions and property information, and route requests to onsite staff.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems and report issues per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services.

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors at the front desk of a residential community while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying visitor and vendor authorization, issuing access credentials as directed, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general property information, and route resident requests or concerns to appropriate onsite personnel.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
