Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Residential Morning Vehicle Driver in La Jolla, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer in a residential community, you will help manage entry points, verify visitors, and support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity and report maintenance or security‑related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents and site management, document daily activities and incidents, and support a welcoming residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
