Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Residential Luxury Apartments in Irvine, CA. You will protect residents and visitors, manage access at entry points, and maintain a secure, welcoming environment across the community.

The role involves shift work with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour, supporting daytime and overnight schedules to ensure around-the-clock security and peace of mind for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents and guests while following site policies.
• Monitor and control access to the residential community and verify authorizations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, parking, entrances, and perimeters.
• Report maintenance concerns and unusual activity per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Residential Luxury Apartmentsin Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring activity, and assisting residents and visitors with professionalism. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the residential community, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents and site staff while reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
