Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Compliance in Brooklyn, NY to protect clients across various industries and deter incidents at transit locations.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, background check and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures at transit locations.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of transit facilities to identify unusual activity and report hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain orderly movement throughout locations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document actions taken per site procedures.
• Prepare clear incident reports and observations in required formats.

As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide courteous assistance to the public. Pay Rate: $19.09 / Hour

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit locations.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, stations, entrances, exits, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and help maintain orderly movement throughout assigned locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
