Job Description

As a Security Officer - Media Site Patrol in Silver Spring, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.21 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology and telecommunications facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual behavior or situations.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
