Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries; log visitors and issue temporary access.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct patrols of entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter; report unusual conditions.
• Complete required reports and shift activity logs and communicate with site stakeholders and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturer in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and respond to access-control and alarm-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused corporate location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries; maintain accurate visitor logs and issue temporary access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership while completing required reports, documentation, and shift activity logs.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
