Qualifications

• State, county or city security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening per applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries by enforcing access-control procedures.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and issue temporary access credentials.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct patrols of entry points, perimeters, and parking areas to detect unauthorized access.
• Document daily activities and incidents in required reports and communicate with leadership.

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused construction location.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, issuing temporary access credentials, and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned construction areas, entry points, perimeter locations, and parking areas to help identify unauthorized access, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control observations in required reports, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
