Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Mall Center Patrol Driver. You will perform patrols, provide customer service to visitors and employees, and maintain a visible security presence at a premier retail center.

This role requires a valid driver's license, 1 year security experience, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. The schedule is day shift with several shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner; escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail areas, parking facilities, exteriors, and assigned locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity or hazards to deter unauthorized access and disruption.
• Document observations and incidents; communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
