Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Loading Dock Full Time in New York, NY to monitor, deter and respond to security incidents at a financial institution site. You will perform access control, patrols and customer service while upholding site procedures.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a rotating day/night schedule. Allied Universal provides training, benefits, and growth opportunities within a nationwide

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control and badge procedures, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
