Allied Universal in New York, NY is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting to safeguard clients across financial institutions. The role is full-time with night shifts and a schedule that includes daytime hours on specific days.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Hold a state, county, or city-issued security license.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking offices, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site requirements, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

• Hold a state, county, or city-issued security license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
