Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Commercial Building Full Time Patrol Access Authorization in New York, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, assist with badge processes, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service.

This unarmed role offers a daytime schedule (Mon–Fri 12:00 PM–08:00 PM) at a financial institution location with a pay rate of $22.57–$23.57 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor direction and maintaining awareness of activity throughout the location.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs accurately and in a timely manner.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
