Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Honolulu, HI to provide exceptional customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a safe environment for tenants and staff at a commercial property.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner while upholding site policies and procedures. A valid security license and HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants may need a valid security license where required by state/local laws.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property grounds, parking areas, common areas, building perimeters, and designated interior locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, property concerns, maintenance issues, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and complete required incident reports while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
