Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a part-time role in Honolulu, HI. You will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while upholding safety standards.

The position pays $18.75 per hour with Day/Time and weekend shifts. Requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma, background check, and, where applicable, a valid driver’s license for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report/escalate per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents in reports and communicate information to site management and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
