Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Subject to background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe persons entering or leaving assigned locations; follow established visitor management and access-control procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
