Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Part Time X Ray Threat Assessment to safeguard clients across industries, including Logistics & Distribution. As a Screener, you will operate X-ray screening equipment, inspect shipments, and maintain a visible security presence at access points.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations; driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and deliveries in accordance with procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization to control entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and deliveries in accordance with applicable procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization as required to help control entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
