Job summary

MetroNational is seeking a Security Ambassador II - Flex to help protect our Memorial City campus. The role requires flexibility to cover posts across buildings, malls, or hospitals, with patrols by foot or golf cart and strong guest service focus.

You will respond to incidents, report hazards, and support security operations during days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be trained by Memorial City Security and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screening required.
• Non-Commissioned Security Officer Level II (TX) required.
• Training provided by Memorial City Security department.
• Willing to work nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols on foot and via golf cart.
• Report security and maintenance issues promptly and follow through to resolution.
• Identify and report threats, hazards, and suspicious activity.
• Manage conflicts with diverse groups using de-escalation and communication skills.
• Respond to and document incidents in the Incident Management System.
• Comply with Post Orders, Emergency, Incident and Action Plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.

This position is a FLEX role that requires the Ambassador to work in such a capacity that will be able to step in and cover any Post open. This position does not have a set post. You may work in an office building, across our campus grounds/garages, a mall, or even a hospital. You may patrol on foot, cart, or sit a lobby desk, depending on the needs of the team. We believe in providing exceptional service every day and ask that you go above and beyond to make service a priority in your safety role. This position does require responsiveness and a high level of flexibility as we provide security services during days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to our clients and guests
• Perform regular interior and exterior patrols on foot and/or via golf cart
• Report security and service/maintenance related issues immediately and follow through to ensure completion
• Identify and report potential threats, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity
• Manage conflicts with diverse groups of people by utilizing de-escalation skills and effective communication
• Respond to and document incidents within an Incident Management System
• Understand and implement Post Orders, Emergency, Incident and Action Plans
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Must pass a “Motor Vehicle Records” check as a condition of employment
• Must submit to a background investigation in accordance with all Federal, State and Local laws
• Applicant will be subject to a drug screening as a condition of employment
• Must possess, or obtain, a Non-Commissioned Security Officer, Level II for the State of Texas as a condition of employment
• Required training provided by the Memorial City Security department, including required participation in all mandatory trainings
• Willing to work varied schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• May be required to assist security operations during man-made or natural disaster
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and other basic computer software
• Should be comfortable typing and completing incident related documents to include photos, witness statements and incident reports
• This position may require working indoors or outdoors where you will be subject to the elements and changing weather conditions

Skills, Qualifications and Other Requirements

• Successfully complete the Security Program’s new-hire training program within one month of the job offer
• Will be required to pass First-Aid/AED training within the first year of employment (Employer Provided)
• Ability to articulate information clearly and concisely, in both verbal and written form
• Communicate well via phone or handheld radio
• Remains calm under pressure
• Great problem solver and works well independently, with little to no direct supervision
• Exercises good judgement and initiative
• Enjoys working with diverse groups or people and organizations in a dynamic work environment
