Job summary

Marksman Security is seeking a dependable Flex Security Officer for the 77064 area to support multiple Houston locations. You’ll be the go-to problem solver during critical times, performing patrols, access control, gatehouse duties, front desk tasks, and visitor management with a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Available for on-call roles and flexible shifts.
• Mornings, midday, overnight, and weekend availability.
• Locations in NORTH HOUSTON require 2 shifts, 4-5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Rover: patrols to detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism or theft.
• Gatehouse: greet drivers/visitors, log vehicles, control access.
• Front Desk: greet guests, provide customer service, monitor CCTV, distribute packages.
• Device Check: scan device tags and IMEI against records.
• North Dock/South Dock: monitor docks, count pallets, track inbound/outbound loads.
• Metal Detector: manage x-ray screening of visitors and items.
• Tracker: monitor high-value loads via software.

FLEX OFFICERS

Responsibilities

Available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd SHIFTS.

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
• Device Check: Scanning tag on the back of approved employee devices, reading persons IMEI on phone making sure it matches the sticker or paperwork provided for the approved device.
• North Dock: Monitoring trash dump for theft attempts, opening and closing dock doors, tracking outbound trucks, counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring open dock doors as they are being loaded. monitoring special projects during peak season
• South Dock: Counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring special projects during peak season, sending and receiving emails, typing truck information, and monitoring open dock doors. open and close dock doors
• Metal Detector: Checking devices in and out; only approved devices with a sticker or approved paperwork are allowed. Making sure visitors clear through the x-ray. Watching the X‑Ray machine, making sure everyone clears through the X‑Ray. Making sure no prohibited items enter the building.
• Tracker: Keeps track of all high value loads via computer software.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be available to on call roles.
• Flexible in supporting shifts available.
• Mornings, Mid‑day, overnight, and weekend availability required.
• Available for 2 shifts, 4-5 days a week required for locations in NORTH HOUSTON
• High school degree or equivalent
• Non‑Commissioned Security License required
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

• Client facing, professional demeanor for Class A buildings.
