Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Operations in Punta Gorda, FL. The role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible security presence at a government location. You will provide exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming, controlled environment and following post orders.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay rate: $19.00 per hour. The schedule includes multiple afternoon/evening shifts across the week.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorization and control access in accordance with established post orders.
• Screen visitors, issue and collect visitor credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and provide clear directions to appropriate offices or services.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, public areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
