• Respond calmly to incidents and document observations and reports.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, drivers, and guests. You will use computer or tablet systems, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.56 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to restricted areas.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, escalating irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
