Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Badge Activation for our Omaha, NE location. You will manage site entry, verify badges, monitor access points, and deliver courteous service to employees and visitors.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, 18+ years old, and readiness for background checks and drug screening. You will work night shifts on a rotating schedule at a busy logistics site, using tablets to document activity and communicate with the team.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain access records.
• Observe traffic at gates; report unusual activity to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures; contact appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify badges and visitor access, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $17.56 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at gates and restricted areas, reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
