St. Paul's Towers Security Officer

Summary:
Provides security services for residents and employees of the organization, protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Responds effectively to emergencies and maintains safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

1. Offer quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
2. Patrol the campus grounds, lobbies, corridors, and access points to ensure safety and security.
3. Respond to fire alarms, emergency calls, and other urgent situations.
4. Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden items; report and document suspicious or criminal activities.
5. Investigate incidents, complete resident loss and incident reports, and maintain records.
6. Maintain accurate logs of shift activities.
7. Perform occasional emergency janitorial duties and adjust thermostatic controls as needed.
8. Familiarize with all disaster, fire, and emergency procedures outlined in the facility's disaster plan.
9. Perform duties safely, wear PPE and safety equipment, and report hazards or accidents.
10. Follow safety standards, practice body mechanics, and participate in safety programs.

Competencies and Skills:

• Ability to interpret instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagram, schedule).

Credentials:

• High School diploma or GED required.
