Overview:

1. Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy's coworkers, patients, and visitors.
2. Promote and practice fire and safety prevention.
3. Perform all duties in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma
2. 18 years of age or older
3. Valid State driver’s license
4. Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure (within 90 days of hire)
5. Completion of Basic 16-hour Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (may be included as part of licensure)
6. Officers in areas without a licensing body must complete IAHSS Basic training.
7. Ability to read and write English.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. College degree
2. Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure
3. Previous experience in Security, Military, or Law Enforcement
