Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Patrol Services in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers flexible day shifts with anchor shifts and an option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a shelter environment.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeter areas, and parking locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with site‑specific reporting requirements.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by communicating respectfully with diverse populations and coordinating with site staff and emergency responders when appropriate.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Patrol Services in Brooklyn, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
