Qualifications

• Must have a NY State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License requirements vary by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency responses.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time License Verification in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.52 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
