Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY. This position offers flexible, dependable hours with a fixed anchor shift and optional additional shifts to increase earnings.

The pay rate is $18.87 per hour, with a schedule that includes DayTime Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM. The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of background checks and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, building perimeters, entrances, common areas, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and unusual occurrences.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Experienced Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
