Job summary

Allied Universal in Milton, MA is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Restraint Support to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a hospital setting. You will perform routine patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to security incidents while providing exceptional customer service.

The role requires restraint capability, the ability to lift over 20 pounds, and compliance with hospital vaccine requirements. CPR/First Aid is preferred, with a night-day shift schedule and $18.32/hour pay.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and reporting unauthorized persons or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
