Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Milton, MA to protect patients, visitors and staff in a hospital setting. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond calmly to medical emergencies according to hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established hospital protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directional support, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to hospital personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.32 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
