Job summary

Allied Universal in Concord, MA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Readiness to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass background and drug-screen checks as required. CDL license only for driving roles.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access procedures, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
