Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Hospital Protection in Providence, RI to serve patients, visitors, and staff within healthcare settings. You will deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond calmly to emergencies.

This role offers flexible Saturday and Sunday morning shifts, a pay rate of $20.60 per hour, and opportunities to learn our Claim a Shift platform while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or incidents according to location procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, healthcare personnel, and emergency responders as needed.

• Sun 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM
