Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and common areas, while reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and directing individuals to appropriate hospital departments or services.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
